Well, they do if JPR can raise $499,000 by March 15th. There's this old rundown historic theater in Medford, the Holly Theater, and since I was a kid I've dreamed of it being renovated. Before moving back up here to Portland, Paulo and I used to walk by and gaze inside and talk about different ways to get it done. Lure McMenamin's? Start a foundation and get donors?

But, in news so amazing I can barely sit still and am about to go frolic, the JPR Foundation are willing to renovate the theater but need to raise $499,000 by March 15th to do so- and they're not able/willing to go into debt to do it, which is totally fine and responsible of them.

I don't even know where to start. Well, I do, I've already emailed them to see where checks can be sent to and to volunteer my entire soul in any way I can. I even looked at the Nike and Starbucks sites, because those are both big donors, but they're also both very specific donors and this project doesn't apply.

So, if anyone has any ideas, or knows rich people who love old theaters and want to contribute a LOT to a struggling community, lemme know ;) Or skip me, and let JPR know.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Seriously. Wow.

In other news, I dreamt of mattress shopping last night, so this morning first thing went to the Mattress World a few miles down and got myself a sweet deal on a mattress and box spring; should be here within the next 2 weeks. I thought that was the most excited I'd get today, but nope. The Holly Theater news takes the cake. This is AMAZING. I might cry.
